Safe-Xtract Vehicle Recovery Kits include components that enable use of a vehicle’s winch for the three fundamental winch operations (SLP, DLP & RD) as follows:

SLP is used when an in-line anchor is available, and when winch capacity is sufficient.
DLP is used when an in-line anchor is available, but when the winch requirement is between 1X and 2X winch capacity.
RD is used when there is no in-line anchor. Other versions of RD involve use of a V-Bridle, which can be created through use of an X-Lock. X-Lock use can facilitate excellent directional control, as it prevents ‘travel’ usually associated with use of a Pully/Snatch Block in this way.

A Safe-Xtract “Xtreme” kit further enables the Spanish Burton (SB), for a 4:1 advantage:

SB is used to achieve a pulling power up to 4X the rated power of the winch. This requires an oversized pulley block at the point nearest the Tree Anchor, when compared with the pulley block rating requirements for DLP and RD. The Safe-Xtract “Xtreme” Kit includes just such a pulley block..

Both the Safe-Xtract Standard and Extreme Kits facilitate the primary two ‘winch-less’ extraction techniques, TX and MX:

TX is a proven towing method via use of two poly straps. The Tree Savers included in each Safe-Xtract Kit are designed to enable this recovery configuration. Each Tree Saver features a Cordura chafe guard down one side – when setting up for a TX, ensure the chafe guards are facing each other for maximum protection against chafing.
MX incorporates the outstanding momentum transfer characteristics of a Kinetic Energy Rope. A Kinetic Energy Rope may be attached to the stuck vehicle in the V configuration thereby further enhancing safety and load distribution. Safe-Xtract Vehicle Recovery Kits include Kinetic Energy Ropes correctly rated to the vehicle GVWR (Gross Vehicular Weight Rating).
